Radiation Oncologist

Radiation Oncology Specialists of Central Virginia has an immediate opportunity for an exceptional part-time Radiation Oncologist to service a new freestanding facility located in Montross, Virginia. Opening July 2016, the center will treat patients half a day, every day during the week and your experience in standard, 3D and IMRT radiotherapy makes you the ideal candidate.

The Regional Cancer Center at Mary Washington Healthcare boasts a world-class Radiation Oncology program led by Board Certified Radiation Oncologists.  In addition to having, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, the most advanced radiation treatment available, patients and physicians throughout the region have been able to find the right level of treatment at the MWHC Regional Cancer Center.  The MWHC Regional Cancer Center uses various radiation treatments to find the best plan of care for the patient.  We provide:

  • External Beam Radiation Therapy
  • Partial Breast Radiation Therapy
  • Brachytherapy
  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)

In addition to the new facility, our well-established, growing 3 physician practice currently services two locations – Mary Washington Hospital & Stafford Hospital.  Mary Washington Hospital is a 437-bed regional hospital offering specialty services typically found in major cities such as trauma care, open heart surgery, neurosurgery, and advanced cancer care.  Stafford Hospital, the newest hospital within MWHC is a full-service, state-of-the-art acute care hospital with services including mother-baby care with a Level II nursery, state-of-the-art radiation oncology, heart care, surgery, imaging, laboratory, and emergency care.
