All full-time, part-time and PRN Associates currently employed by Mary Washington Healthcare are eligible to receive a referral award for each successful hire who meets the criteria of the program. Human Resources Recruitment staff members and Senior Management are ineligible to receive a reward. Clinical Hiring Managers and Supervisors are eligible when they refer candidates for positions outside of their area of

Referrals must match qualifications and experience level for the posted position. Those considered to be ineligible as referred applicants include the following:

• Current MWHC Associates

• Previous Associates who were employed within the last 12 months

• Temporary staff, contractors, students, volunteers, interns and residents who are hired into permanent positions

• Hire of a candidate for which a recruiting fee was paid

• PRN Candidates


1.  Referring Mary Washington Healthcare Associates will receive payouts for positions that are in high demand and critical to fill as follows:

     a.  $10,000 for full-time CRNAs, OR RNs and night shift ED RNs at Mary Washington Hospital only

     b.  $5,000 for full-time experienced Nurses in Critical Care, Behavioral Health, L&D, ED (all shifts at Stafford and Lee's Hill, day shift at Mary Washington Hospital); Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Med Techs, Medical Lab Techs, Respiratory Therapists and part-time CRNAs, OR RNs & night shift MWH ED RNs

     c.  $3,000 for full-time experienced inpatient RNs (other than specialties listed       above)

     d.  $1,500 for Staffing Office RNs, and the following  part-time positions: inpatient RNs, CRNAs, PTs, OTs, MTs, MLTs, Respiratory Therapists

     e.  $500 for full-time CNAs and $250 for part-time CNAs

2.  Eligible Mary Washington Healthcare referring Associate must be named as “source” by the referred candidate on a MWHC application for employment completed during the August 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017, time frame. Only one Associate name can be listed as the source.  Or, Associate may refer a candidate using the form above.

3.  All candidates must complete an application with MWHC between August 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.

4.  To receive a referral award, the referring Associate must be in good standing at MWHC for 90 days prior to the award disbursement.

5.  The new hire must successfully complete 90 days of satisfactory, uninterrupted employment and be in good standing as a Mary Washington Healthcare Associate.

6.  Both the Associate and the referral must be employed at MWHC at the time of the award disbursement.

7.  Mary Washington Healthcare reserves the right to amend or cancel this program
without notice.
